|
Dr Singhal completed a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the City of Hope National Cancer Center, a leader in Minimally Invasive Surgical Oncology (MISO). Dr. Singhal has extensive training in the cellular and molecular bases for cancer as well as the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. It provides Dr. Singhal a comprehensive view of cancer and a better opportunity to treat the disease.
Dr. Singhal is the founding Medical Director of the Cancer Center at El Camino Hospital. She has initiated a rigorous Tumor Board program, Grand Rounds visits by renowned physicians from around the US, and collaborations with academic cancer centers including UCSF, Stanford, City of Hope National Medical Center, and the University of Washington. Later, she pioneered healthcare’s first High Definition Joint (Remote) Tumor Board. It was held on February 1st, 2007 with the City of Hope and El Camino Hospital with state-of-the-art HD teleconferencing equipment in collaboration with Sony. She has hosted delegations from academic centers with their own advanced telemedicine initiatives interested in her work in telemedicine and intra-hospital high definition collaboration such as between pathology and the operating room. Dr Singhal has also advised Cisco’s Network Imaging Group making medical images more easily searchable across vendor systems and hospital sites.
